Storage and management of electrode paste
As the self-baking electrode of submerged electric furnace, electrode paste has been widely used in the smelting of various products of submerged electric furnace. Although the cost of electrode paste in the production of calcium carbide, ferroalloy and other products is relatively low, the quality of the electrode paste and the firing of the electrode directly affect the stability of the operation of the submerged electric furnace. Due to the various types of submerged electric furnaces, the different furnace conditions, and the increasing capacity of electric furnaces, when the quality index of the electrode paste meets the requirements, the roasting quality plays a decisive factor, which requires us to focus on calcium carbide, ferroalloys, etc. The actual production of the product starts with the management of the electrode paste, strictly implements the operating procedures, regularly and quantitatively lowering the electrodes, and maintains the normal and stable operating parameters of the electric furnace at all times to ensure the high efficiency and high output of the electric furnace.
Electrode paste management
If the electrode paste is not well managed, and the dirty electrode paste is put into the electrode barrel, the electrode will be locally overheated and broken due to the different composition of the electrode. Therefore, during the storage, transportation and use of the electrode paste, the following must be done:
1. The electrode paste stacking site must be a cement floor, and it is strictly forbidden to mix in external soil and impurities;
2. The carriage for transporting electrode paste must be cleaned, and it is strictly forbidden to mix in coal powder, dust or other impurities;
3. The spare electrode paste must be managed and covered with a tarpaulin to prevent long-term wind and sun, mutual adhesion or quality changes.
